Following the success of the first Balkan Property Exhibition (Balpex) in 2007 which saw over 15,000 people visit 240 exhibitors at the Inter Expo Centre in Sofia, Bulgaria the exhibition is back. The 2008 exhibition which is part of Balkan Property Week will take place from the 18th -20th of April and hopes to give visitors an insight into property investment in the region.

In addition to residential, holiday and golf properties there will also be a number of business property companies represented including the builders of office centres, retail parks and logistics centres.

The exhibition follows the Balkan Real Estate Conference held on the 14th and 15th where invited speakers will include international accountancy giant PricewaterhouseCoopers, the government agency responsible for regional investment Invest Macedonia and a number of well known property companies and developers.

Among the developments on display will be eight new shopping malls, a number of residential housing complexes in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna, and holiday developments in Bansko, Borovets, Pamporovo, Banya, Velingrad, Sandanski, Pomorie and Kavarna. The exhibition will also feature the unveiling of plans for the development of Industrial Park Sofia, which will be one of the largest industrial parks in the area.
